The fate of the last door to door salesmen

« on: May 05, 2007, 02:33:33 PM »

i thought this is probably one of the better films I have seen in the last couple years(and yes this includes good films). So anyone else seen The Quartermass Xperiment and what did you think of it?

Note: this film was titled THE CREEPING UKNOWN in the U.S.

Is this one the original TV mini-series or the film adaption from a year or two later - the one retitled The Creeping Unknown in the U.S.?

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I think the difference is the TV series spells it properly as "Experiment," whereas the movie has it as "Xperiment."

I thought it was great!!! Oh..if you like this...try the sequel-ENEMY FROM SPACE(1957) also known as QUARTEMASS II, and the 3rd, and BEST in the series FIVE MILLION YEARS to EARTH (1967) aka QUARTERMASS and the PIT!

I had not seen this movie in a long, long time and then recently I was going over some old VHS tapes that were not labeled and found this film on one of them. I did a little dance of joy and watched it again. I'd love a DVD release.

Thanks for the recommendations. If they're better than the first one this'll be good.

I personally like it best of all the Quatermass films and I think pretty highly of them all. On some days, I might say THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT is my favourite film period. Definitely deserves a quality Region 1 DVD release. Gerry's review at Scifilm I believe is pretty on the spot and one of the things that first attracted me to his website was his Quatermass fandom.
