Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys.  I gotta say, I don't think they have a bad album, unless you count this new all-instrumental one.  But I haven't heard that yet.
I like THE BEASTIE BOYS, too.  You remind me that I'm sorry that I got rid of my 12 inch singles from the early 80s... one of which was their hilarious and compelling "Cookie Puss..."  Remember that one?   For you: Thumbup

CAPTAIN BEEFHEART AND HIS MAGIC BAND Safe As Milk (their first album, which is the most overlooked masterpiece of 1967 and so impeccably produced and accessible, it's unlike any of the CAPTAIN's other albums).

Now, I'm listening to "...a record of purty music..."  THE STOOGES Fun House the greatest record that ROCK has yet produced.  As Iggy once suggested, and to again paraphrase, THE STOOGES could eat all the poodles for breakfast, such as any METAL, PUNK, HARD ROCK, ACID, WHATEVER YOU CARE TO NAME.  If you LOVE ROCK N' ROLL as I do, you MUST own this record, you will not be disappointed, but you may be a little tired afterwards!  RIGHT ON!  RIGHT ON!  RIGHT ON!

I was painting the living room earlier today and while on a break, went through my CD collection.
I found an Andy Cowan disk that a friend sent me from Australia.
The guy does justice to some blues, and a stellar rendition of "Little Wing"
If you can find him, give him a listen

Listening to Frederic Talgorn's score for Robotjox.  The movie was both silly and dumb, and Talgorn is Elmer Bernsteining so hard you expect Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen to be featured on the cover.

Rose Grew Round the Briar, a compilation of rural love songs (mostly folk and country blues) recorded in the 1920's.
