I own some jazz though I'm much more into fusion than traditional jazz.  I own stuff by Stanley Clarke, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Niacin, Al DiMeola, Marc Johnson, Bela Fleck, Grover Washington Jr., Billy Cobham, Roy Ayers, Charlie Hunter, Vital Information, Victor Wooten, Weather Report and Jaco Pastorius.  It just works out that I listen to more rock /metal/pop than I do more than anything else.

Marillion - Script for a Jester's Tear
Marillion - Fugazi

FYE, a store I generally dislike, sometimes has wonderful bargain bins.  I found a number of brand new Marillion CD's for $2.99 each, and they were all 2-disc remastered editions.  I also got the previously mentioned Kate Bush album from the same bin (although it's the original '85 CD release), and Blur's self-titled album.

Snap!

I'm gearing up for the "Priest Feast", I'm leaving work early tomorrow to get down to Manchester. I can't wait for this gig, got the tickets months ago. I'm looking forward to Testament the most.  Smile

I got to see The Masters of Metal tour last year in August I believe it was. It was Testament, Motorhead, Heaven and Hell and then Judas Priest.

Just posted it on the "weirdest music you listen to" thread.

"Rock Dream" by Boris with Merbow

Sample: Feedbacker (this is the opening a 35 minute jam... it gets MUCH faster and nosier at the crescendo)

Brooklyn Jazz Underground Sampler Vol. 2

Most of this stuff is pretty straight-ahead and not too far underground.  Here's one based on Indian music with Hindi lyrics, though:
