Copper Mountain: Rating 0.5 out of 5
This 1980s comedy features classic slapstick comedy of the era, when two freewheeling bachelors (Jim Carrey and Alan Thicke) go to a Club Med ski lodge for a weekend of gorgeous women and racing. Bobby (Jim Carrey) has trouble meeting women, with his gags and jokes always seeming to backfire--unfortunately his luck doesn't improve in the snowy paradise. Jackson (Alan Thicke) can't wait to race in the World Pro-Am Ski contest, but first he must race an out of shape bartender! In addition to the notable casting of the main characters, this film features appearances by ski champion Jean-Claude Killy and music legends Rita Coolidge and Ronnie Hawkins. *****My friend and i borrowed this movie a few weeks ago, took it back to my place and watched about 30 minutes of it then turned it off. My friend went back to the video store, demanded his money back and cancelled his membership (due to the fact that the following had the following comment on the cover "funnier than The Mask". This movie is best described as cinematic sewage! To think Jim Carey went on to do other movies such as Eternal Sunshine and Dumb and Dumber after completing this flop is a miracle. There is no substance in the story, there is no script, and the acting is appalling. I would gladly compare this movie to hot, moist cow *****!!! I can't believe that anyone approved this! On the positive side if you want to clear your house of unwanted guests then put this on. I have never felt such an urge to leave the country after watching a film.
This movie also stars Alan Thickie. Below i have pasted a link from yahoo movies containing amusing Copper Mountain reviews. Enjoy!
