Odd movie from late 70's - early 80's

Need help finding this one, from around the late 70's to mid 80's i think.. the only scenes I can remember off the top of my head are:

 Tall guy (main char) at a disco party with GF/wife. Tall guy starts to wig out, GF is shown dancing with some kinda bat-demon-parrot thing. Seems to be enjoying herself untill a horn pops outta her mouth. Tall guy looses it and screams his head off. They toss him in a bathtub full of ice.
Much later in movie..
 Tall guy is now strapped in a gurney going thru what looks like a hospital basement. Various organs lying about the floor. They pass an alcove where there is a man with no arms or legs wearing what looks like a white plastic bag over his head. Head is doing that fast motion shaky thing. A little futher down the hall there are naked midgets crawling around in a net on the ceiling ( i think) then they toss tall guy in a room and start doing brain surgery on him while he is awake.

Bout all I can remember other than the movie had a really odd ending that made you go WTF??!! That and something about a fat chiropractor.

Can anyone help me out on this one? I would like to see this one again.

Can't imagine watching this one with any type of psychotropic drugs going through me.  It's disturbing enough as it is.
