UPDATE: Letter grade added

You're only getting one review this time because I've been busy with college and all that (I'm supposed to be working on an essay that's due on monday, but I'm suffering from writer's block), but the one you do get fits in with the season. Happy Halloween!

Ghost Stories: Satsuki and her friends have issues with the ghosts that have been haunting her new school, thanks to the construction that has disturbed their sleep. Using her mother's diary, the group sets out to banish each ghost before they themselves become the walking dead. Take away the ghosts (such as a toilet ghost that haunts restroom patrons by offering "red paper or blue paper"- choosing red causes blood to rain down from the ceiling, blue means you suffocate) and you have a pretty typical anime, with normal kids in abnormal circumstances. That's not necessarily a bad thing - the animation is solid and colorful, and the stories are intriguing. However, this title's North American release was met with a wave of controversy from the otaku community, as the english dub discarded most of the lines from the original and replaced them with racy humor and references to American culture. The result: purists may hate it, but the english dub is hilarious, and for that alone its worth checking out. A
