Dear God. The basic premise is that they created some sort of rap/inner city themed Tales of the Crypt. It has three stories, one of which was actually quite decent. All of the stories are connected through Snoop in the dumbest wig known to man. Some people say it was meant to have a kitsch value, but I prefer to think that they were serious. This movie also left me convinced that Ernie Hudson has some sort of outstanding gambling debt.

Highlights:

- Man gets a complete 40 ounce beer shoved through his head
-Woman stabbed with a spray can
- Exploding women via caviar
- Boobs
- Decent Anime
- A complete understanding of why Jason Alexander can no longer find work.

I still haven't seen more than a glimpse of this film.  Of course, it sounds like you describe it, an updated version of "Tales from the Hood."  Watching the rest of it hasn't been on my immediate danger list.

Decent anime?  I have to ask about this part.

The opening sequence of how Snoop became the way he is is shown through anime. I'm not big on anime, but this was pretty good.

Ive seen this on the shelf in used movie stores and at Target. I looked like something that would be really boring, but I might Netflix it.

Anything with Snoop Dogg gets a wide berth in my book.  The guy is a walking joke.

And Jason Alexander wasn't good in anything, I'm amazed he was on Seinfeld for so long.  I hated those characters a lot (whiney bunch of scumbags), but his character was the one I would have cheerfully killed many times over.

I have to respectfully disagree.  I watched Seinfeld all the time, and while I agree about them being whiny scumbags, the show was also very hilarious.

As far as this particular movie, I haven't seen it yet, but want to pick it up.

I'll get around to netflixing this eventually. I've always had a weird appreciatiation of "Tales from the Hood" and this is obviously up the same alley. But the reviews have been pretty negative.
