I love being a mod on a live stream. Also, Twitch sucks for live streaming, Hitbox is better.
-less stream delay
-Admin helps out AND streams as well
-The community is friendly

So over the weekend I was at the grand opening of a big new grocery store near my house, where they were giving out prizes and samples and a radio station was broadcasting live in the parking lot.

Well, I went inside and standing there doing his live show in the lobby was this iconic local DJ, a guy about sixty, maybe, who has been famous on regional airwaves for longer than I've been alive, and as I passed I couldn't help but notice his zipper was unzipped. I mean...it was real obvious even from a distance that is was all the way down.

I wondered for a second why nobody was telling him, so I thought I'd do him a favor and I went over and sort of quietly pointed the fact out to him.

He shrugged and said, "It's not just down, I broke it today and it won't zip back up. I wish I'd brought another pair of pants."

I kind of went, "Oh, sorry to hear that...." and figured that was the end of it, but then behind me was this matronly type older woman who piped up and said, "I bet I can fix that for you."

The DJ looked at her and went (I am serious here), "Oh, if I take you into the restroom can you get it up for me?"  But the way he said it seemed so innocent, and the woman said, "I might be able to manage it." Then they went off together.

It just.... I mean... I think it was all above board, just a legitimate zipper-based mishap and someone being helpful, but the whole exchange was sitcom-level bizarre.

Before I left, though, I got a free sample of cherry ice cream, so, you know, it was all good.

While I was making lunch I heard my daughter singing to herself. I listened in and heard "going off the rails on a crazy train". I just smiled because it was too cute.

So I work for hours and hours designing a book cover. It ends up as by far the best design work I've ever done (I'm no graphic artist) and I'm really proud of it. I send it to the artist who's work is featured for approval. Less than an hour later he sends me a revised version that looks super-professional, puts me totally to shame.
