It's kind of like a zip file, except a different format.  There are several programs out there that can "unpack" the file(s) inside.

I just dragged a garbage bag full of wet towels from the second to the first floor (this is after I spent several minutes using said towels to soak up all the water from a overflowed toilet.) 

Oh, man.. feel like I'm going to throw up, pass out, or have a heart attack.  Hell, maybe all three at once.

Compare the house in House of Leaves to the Beatle's White Album. Both are essentially blank screens that people project their ideas and emotions onto, with disasterous results.There's nothing quite as dangerous as something that has power but no meaning.

Heavy rains = Palmetto Bugs moving indoors.

Gotta love living in The Coastal Empire!

I thank whomever first thought of calling these things 'Palmetto Bugs'. It's much easier on the psyche than realizing yo have two-inch coackroaches roaming around in your house.

False alarm. No redness or swelling or anything.
