This one made me do a double take the first time it came on. There is a minor detail that should jump right out at anybody who has hung around b-movie sites for a few years. Canadian ad for the McDonalds Angus Burger.

"Video no longer available."  This is a message familiar to all b-movie lovers when they try to order that copy of BENEATH THE VALLEY OF THE ULTRAVIXENS or A NIGHT TO DISMEMBER off Amazon.

These are some commercials that have been floating around the internet for a while, but I do find them to be quite funny.

John West Salmon

SmartBeep

Energy Bar

I've got to find that one for the sensitive toothpaste.

My child would do that ONCE, only ... after that they wouldn't be able to set down for a month, perhaps longer.

If i would have pulled some crap like that as a kid; knowing my parents i'd probably be dead...

I've worked with the public and its amazing how many parents let their children act that way

this reminds me of a time when me and my friend where on a bus and he started anoying
this one girl and she told the guy next to him thats what happens when a condom
breaks while pointing at him the funny part is he didnt get it untill a minute later and
then he was like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Here's more of a regional one that cracks me up. This Toronto jeweller/pawnbroker/fence/whatever is kind of a throwback to the old days of loud, wacky one-man TV commercials.

Here's a fairly recent one, full of cheesy goodness:

And here, he branches out into the loan business:

And here's a news report on his legal trouble with DC comics over his Cash Man character:

This is a funny video that started as a local commercial and was eventually made into a full music video.

This commercials was banned/pulled in England because it offend gays, even though it doesn't say a thing about them. I guess some people are just to sensitive (said with my best lispy voice.)

Frankly I think it a riot and it makes fun of speed walker more so than gays ... then again I think speed walking is gay.

Hey Vern Sprite Commercial- Starring Jim Varney as Ernest P. Worrell
Small | Large

In this one, Ernest feels the need to tell Vern about Sprite, despite the fact he's in the bathtub.  I like the end: "Hey Vern, I like your little duck!"  I have a dvd set with one disc being nothing but all the Ernest Commercials (had to be hundreds of them.  I lasted about a half an hour and they were still going), as well as some tv specials and two movies.  Granted the two movies weren't the best of the Ernest franchise, but the commercials and tv special make up for it.

I like the local commercials. Here's another guy out of Toronto who used to make me laugh back in the day. Crazy Joe! I'm amazed that these are actually on YouTube over twenty years later.

Not as funny as Russell Oliver, but a certain amount of self respect will do that.

And a spoof from SCTV that looks vaguely familiar.

That was one of the advantages for anybody living in southern Ontario when watching SCTV. We got to see the real shows that inspired some of the sketches.
