Or not.

Tomorrow scientists at the CERN Research Center will fire up that Large Hadron Collider, which may yield up some really nifty geeky science stuff or destroy the world - or both!

Bring it on! Hatred

This is the first I've heard on the subject, I suppose even if all the concerns turn out to be true and a realistic threat to humankind, I still doubt that I'll see any TV coverage over here. Britain doesn't seem to give a monkeys kneecap for scientific experimentation or doomsday prophecies, just falling house prices and what some celebrity left in the garbage.

Yep, they been working on this thing for years. Could be the biggest breakthrough in particle science or possibly the worst of the worst in science. Funny how they never asked anyone if it's ok to try this. Well, if things don't turn out so well I'll see you all next time or the time after that.  Smile

LOL. They figured on their own that this might be a good idea without asking the public.

They test fired beam today in the clockwise direction, next they fire it counter clockwise, then after that they will collide them using this $3.8 billion Large Hadron Collider and see what happens. Why not? It's worth a try besides I'm not doing anything important tomorrow anyway.

Funny, I heard that the head of the project, a Dr. Hans Reinhardt, said that there is no risk whatsoever. He also apparently mumbled something about "In, srough, und beyond!" but I don't think that was anything important.

Is that that atom smasher thing I heard about on the news several weeks back?

Could destroy the world, huh?  Well, way my life's been going of late, can't say I'd be disappointed.  Hell, part of me is hoping it'll succeed.

(I know, that sounds negative, but I can't hide the truth anymore...)

It may just be worth the gamble. Glad they didn't ask us first before getting started. Imagine free energy for everyone. Nobody would have to work that much anymore. Imagine the 10 hour work week, The Genisis project, Teleportation, Time Travel, and Anti-Gravity...........Baby.  Thumbup Thumbup

Won't have to save up for that trip to Europe anymore.
