Although they chose to use a lot of Wagner, it's worth pointing out that it's Carl Orff who steals the show musically.

47.  The End of Violence

Ry Cooder's solo slide guitar provided most of the soundtrack.  The terriffic soundtrack album features songs from Roy Orbison, Eels, Tom Waits, Los Lobos, etc. that either didn't make it into the film or were just heard in background snippets.  It would make the list just based on Cooder's score, but the album is a bonus.  (The movie is VERY bad, pretentious and boring, though.)

50. Tourist Trap, by Pino Donaggio (Spoilers in video)
heTlgJ-Nx7w
No one underlying theme, but a mix of the odd, the demeted, the ambiant, the touching, and several more melodies that combine to form a score that well matches the sheer weirdness of it's film.

The only movie I've ever seen that made me go out and buy the soundtrack album the same afternoon.

54.)Lost Highway. More than 10 years later this album still has something for everyone while having almost no throwaway tracks. Party, ambience, jazz, metal...

56.) Back To The Future

I love the orchestral music but Huey Lewis had two of his best songs in the film.
