Voltron- was circa 95? or so. It wasn't conventional rock drumming, he has like mallets at one point.
I'm guessing that they were touring the Great Annihilator? My definate "must see them before I croak" band.

Rex, which I think was a Codeine offshoot, was the opener. similarly very slow

I saw Codeine recently. Funny thing is people slowly nodding their heads to this one. When the break in the chorus comes people try to time their head nods but it can't be done. too slow. hope nobody got hurt

Codeine are GREAT, Lester! The White Birch album is a classic. Do you like the band Low? Anyhoo here's my SOTD.....
