Just saw a preview for this on another movie.  Now, the PC game looks "hella f**kin' balls to the wall" awesome, (sadly I don't think my computer will play it) but I hadn't heard they had an animated movie as a prequel (or something) until I saw the trailer.

Anyone seen it?

I saw it a couple of days ago. It is a prequel to the game. The story itself is pretty standard Sci-fi horror as a ship called Isurmara (Think that what its called) picks up a object from a planet and brings it aboard and all hell breaks loose, People start to go crazy and kill each other while some kind of alien lifeform is infecting people and turning them into creatures. It focus on a security team led by a 2nd string Ripley on the ship that tries to save the crew. Add in some religious stuff about the object being humanitys "Hope" and some vague conspiracy that the "Church" knew about the object and sent the ship to its doom by making them put it on board.

Overall it has some decent animation and voice acting but its really just a poor mans Alien/Aliens. It is a safe rent especially if you might get the game.

It's good, even if you don't intend to play the game.  Just don't expect anything but "some monsters get on a spaceship".
