ok, so in the movie they have a bunch of different aliens that prize fight.  There is a beam that handicaps the aliens to keep it even.  Even so, the main character is the first human in so long to be good enough to fight after he beats up one of the fighters in a resturant. 

one part I remember is him fighting this big ugly grasshopper legged alien.  Also, in the end in his last fight, someone sabotages the handicapping beam but he wins anyways.
