That I've seen and why I love them
not in order

Gamera the Brave (2006)
One Gamera is awesome, Two the New Gamera movies are awesome, Three the battle scenes are awesome. In other words, this movie is awesome. Too bad Gamera's new look makes him look like kind of a wuss. :-(

Musa (2001)
Great Korean Action film. Winner at the Fant-Asia Film Festival. Great characters, bloody as hell... Even my friends who usually hate foreign films love this movie. Check it out if you get the chance.

Dagon (2001)
Im sucker for this film. It's a guilty pleasure I know.

Janghwa, Hongryeon (2003) - A tale of Two Sisters
The American remake was blah. Yah, who would have thought that? The original though is a surrealistic masterpiece.

Downfall (2004)
Great German film with some version with some DVD's with bad subtitles floating around. Great acting, great directing, scenery, atmosphere, just one of the best movies to come out in a long long time.

Metoroporisu (2001) - Metropolis
I usually hate anime, but the story here is brilliant and has a lot of heart to it. If you ever get to see it watch it with the Japanese Voice actors and with subtitles. The American kids are alright but the two Japanese kids are just amazing.

4 Inyong shiktak (2003) - Uninvited
Weird, weird Korean film. It's a love or hate movie, and Im not even sure if I even love it. It just burned itself into my memory for some reason.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002)
I'm a huge Godzilla fan as you probably could guess, and although the Millennium series is not one of my favorite Godzilla run, but getting to see a Godzilla movie in the theater for the first and only time with the release of Godzilla 2000 was a treat, so I choose my favorite among the Millennium series to put here... and Yumiko Shaku is in it and that's enough right there. Godzilla and Shaku what more do you need on a Saturday night?

Shark Attack 3 (2002)
You have be a genius to make a movie this bad. One thing this movie is not is boring. It's brilliant from start to finish. And Jaws is one of my favorite movies of all time so watching this was like watching Angels having sex with Leprechauns - wrong in every way but you just can't stop watching.

Planet Earth (2006)
It's not a movie I know but better then most movies I've ever seen.

Just to make your recommendation more accessible the correct English is simply "Metropolis", most people mightn't get the phonetic Japanese.

The movie felt like it was 10 minutes long, I was that into it. Didn't think they made 'em like that anymore.  Thumbup

cool, would be interested to see this considering you all like it, but I did a search and apparently it's by the same people that did Switchblade Romance. I haven't seen Switchblade Romance but yesterday I watched a film called P2 about a girl who gets stalked in a car park and it says on the DVD "from the makers of Switchblade Romance" - but P2 was rubbish, not impressed at all. have I got this mixed up somehow?

I'm quite sure Switchblade Romance is an alternate title of High Tension. I highly reccomend it. It's a nice old fasioned slasher/ horror flick.

ok in that case I will endeavour to check it out.

seems like the majority of posters on here know what they're talking about.

I would still advise anyone to avoid "P2" like the plague though...
