Hmmm..can't really think of 10, but High Tension was a pleasent surprise.
I gotta agree with you their. Good scary movie!
The movie felt like it was 10 minutes long, I was that into it. Didn't think they made 'em like that anymore.  Thumbup
cool, would be interested to see this considering you all like it, but I did a search and apparently it's by the same people that did Switchblade Romance. I haven't seen Switchblade Romance but yesterday I watched a film called P2 about a girl who gets stalked in a car park and it says on the DVD "from the makers of Switchblade Romance" - but P2 was rubbish, not impressed at all. have I got this mixed up somehow?

I've seen both P2 and High Tension.  P2 was rubbish, gotta agree with you there, but High Tension is a great horror flick.   Thumbup

I wouldn't know how to order these..

So, in NO PARTICULAR ORDER...

Speed Racer - I love this film.  What more is there to say?
The Dark Knight
The Hidden Blade - Immensely humanistic and satisfying along with...
The Twilight Samurai - Very similar, almost the same story, but both are great.
Wall-E - Great story, great characters, great animation.
The Incredibles - Probably my favorite CG film.
City of God - Great style, and a great story.
Equilibrium
Ip Man - The best kung fu film in ages, though a bit let down by its ending.
Snatch - Supremely enjoyable.  Infinity rewatch value.

Seriously! I think that's a great movie, plus, , it really didn't have much competition IMO. This decade will NOT go down in history as the great years for cinema.

In no particular order, and for various reasons:
Cabin Fever
The Dark Knight
Pineapple Express
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Party Monster
Devil's Rejects
Saw
The Rundown
Shaun of The Dead
O Brother, Where Art Thou?
My list has completely changed since the time this was posted.  Mainly, I'd take off Cabin Fever (although I do quite like it), Saw (again, I like it, but I can replace it), The Rundown, Party Monster and Devil's Rejects.  All good flicks I really enjoyed, but looking at it, it'd look like this:

Pineapple Express (no message in it, just a funny, funny movie)
Spider-Man 2 (I still maintain it's the BEST comic book to live adaption movie, ever)
Clerks 2 (a rare occasion where the sequel matches the original, and it spoke to me in some capacity)
Shaun of The Dead (a great comedy with a lot of blood, always a fun romp)
O Brother, Where Art Thou (just a great movie, another good effort by the Coen's)
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (decent adaption of the book, some people threw it off 'as another remake, but it's re-telling the book's story, people)
The Incredible Hulk (2008 version, not Ang Lee's.  Hulk's a character I can relate to, anger and all, two sides to one person)
The Dark Knight- lots of people seem to hate on it, but I liked the performances throughout, regardless.
March of The Penguins- no acting, just a good movie.
Team America: World Police- an action movie with puppets, and of course: MATT DAMON!

1... Haute Tension (2003)
One of the better horror stories I have seen and one of the few movies I didnt predict the ending (and watching it a second time it all made sense)

2... The Machine Girl (2008)
Wow... comic book gore... :)

3... Exte: Hair Extensions (2007)
At first, this story seemed funny and over the top idea since most asian horror films were copying the Rings success and made scary characters with long hair... The story does work very well as a horror film and its has a funny/gross and over the top ending that reminds me of Pieces... :)

4... Another Heaven (2000)
Just seen the movie over the weekend and I found it fun, although my wife guess that the movie will have a sad ending... :)

5... The Orphanage (2007)
A very good ghost story, although another sad movie.

6... The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
I'm impress how good this remake is...

7... King Kong (2005)
Speaking of impressive remakes... :)

8... Hot Fuzz (2007)
I also like Shaun of the Dead, but Hot Fuzz is so funny... :)

9... Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman (2007)
I like this horror story... :)

10... The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Peter Jackson's Godfather of 2000... :) Although, I also like Harry Potter I think Lord of the Rings is a much better series... :)

Movies that failed...

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy ~ although we were lucky that Phantom Menace was 1999 film... I have one question... "Why was baby Vader's mother still a slave after all the things he did in the first movie [like saving Queen Amidala's planet from the robot invasion]?" The answer was the biggest miss since the script writing of Ishtar. If Queen Amidala was the dark side then all the silly mistakes in Phantom Menace and part 2 would be seen as a clever plot... (It would also be the biggest shocker since "Luke, I'm your Father." ~ Empire Strikes Back)

Phat Girlz (2006) ~ I felt like one of the people in an airplane and Ted Striker was siting next to me and telling me his backstory... :)

Rollerball (2002) ~ OUTCH!!!!
