Even though I used it for my latest round of Name That Movie I've never seen THE MAN WITHOUT A BODY (1957) - I've only read about in various books and articles.

Briefly: Mr. Thatcher from CITIZEN KANE attaches the evil still-predicting head of Nostradamus to the body of a diseased millionaire.

Now I'm achin' to see that one!

Weasels rip my flesh
Toxic avenger (yup, haven't seen it yet)
Night of horror
Dracula (1931) (yeah..I know you can't call yourself a horror fan if you haven't seen Dracula, but it's really hard to get it in Hungary, so I'll have to order it from Amazon)
A*P*E
...and I'll post again if something else comes to my mind

Is there some kind of ban on Bela in Hungary?

Yeah..it's sad. And he is quite unknown (at least I don't know anyone who know who he is). I have a friend who also likes horror. He haven't heard of him until he watched Ed Wood. Bluesad
He should be better known..I mean he was born here, and he starred in so many classic films!

Above most things in all the movies I want to see, I would really like to see Cool World.  I heard its bad and stupid, but I really want to see it because honestly, I find it kind of amusing.  The second runner up would be Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure.  I have seen clips of this movie and all I say is, "Wow, so this is what animator make when they are high."

I have the re-make of Not Of This Earth on DVD !

The scene with the two aliens psychically talking talking to each other is a hoot !
I guess you mean the most recent remake (there are two).

A movie I kind of wanted to see was IT'S ALIVE (1974) - a film most Horror buffs have seen (I've not seen all of it.)  I remember the ad campaign for this film very well... "it" was on IFC tonight, and my DirecTV program advised it was indeed the 1974 film about monstrous baby I was interested in looking at.  Wuh-RONG!!!  Despite the listing, what was shown was  IT'S ALIVE  (1969) starring TOMMY KIRK (yeh, I know... and that was the best part of it!!)  Fortunately, I had 2 pals on hand so we all laughed and goofed on it.  It had been made for TV and is probably the worst film I've sat through from beginning to end.
Yes, that's what I wrote.  The worst.  Just Drivel.  Really enjoyed it.   Smile

The whole IT'S ALIVE trilogy should be taken in.  Its a film with a message that unfortunately gets lost in the goofiness.

A dam shame. Lugosi WAS the first horror star. Chaney,Weagner,Veidt....they all were able to break out and play charecter roles. The narrow minded scumbags in Hollywood typecast Bela so badly,at times it cost him work. The man was a great talent...
and predjiduce against him because he didn't play the studio publicity game didn't help.

Bela could take some totally nonsense dialouge and make it dramatic. The guy was a genuis.(Get me talking about Lugosi....and I won't quit. Slap me or something.)

Even in the cheapest productions...he gave his all. He played Ed Wood films like Shakespere. A dedicated peformer. An artist who lived his roles,a one of a kind-dedicated to his art. Jimi Hendrix,Elvis,Van Gough...he belongs in that catagory.

IMO, don't bother.  Quite boring, Reed's presence is the only novelty. I guess it might be somewhat entertaining watching Wilton Graff do a passable Vincent Price impersonation.
