Too Sweet to be Sour

« on: May 09, 2009, 06:31:52 PM »

Fresh from the oven comes one of Umberto Lenzi's few tride and true horror flicks. The man has dabbled in pretty much every genre as one of Italy's most prolific directors (including trendsetting classics like Man from Deep River and Seven Bloodstained Orchids AND crap like Nightmare City) and created films that have a cult fanbase 'round the world.

Black Demons is approximately his 345th attempt at actually making a movie worth watching and... well, you can probably guess how it turned out.

"...someone forgets to baby-sit the American dunce and he ends up resurrecting a squadron of ex-dead slaves fresh from God’s cotton fields in order to annoy the primary cast, which can be counted entirely on one hand..."

Check it out, plus more, at http://badmoviehell.blogspot.com/2009/05/slave-revolt-finally-happens-some-150.html.
