For those that don't know, 'Engrish' is basically the butchering of the English language by product manufacturers that do not speak English as their primary language. Their packaging and advertisements are still in English, and it seems some are skimping on translating services. I was looking for a pneumatic sheet metal nibbler when I cam across this description:

Key features Northern Industrial Tools

    * Aluminum head up in contrast with set nerve clip blades
    * Cuts 16-gauge sheet of paper metal, 14-gauge atomic number 13 and 20-gauge stale rolling nerve
    * 2600 cuts through narrow
    * 4 CFM air use of goods and services
    * 1/4in. air recess

Here's my best guesses:

" * Aluminum head up in contrast with set nerve clip blades"
I have no idea what this means.

" * Cuts 16-gauge sheet of paper metal, 14-gauge atomic number 13 and 20-gauge stale rolling nerve"
Translation: Cuts 16-gauge sheet metal, 14 gauge aluminum, and 20 gauge, , well I just don't know.

" * 2600 cuts through narrow"
Translation: 2600 cuts per minute.

"  * 4 CFM air use of goods and services"
Translation: Uses 4 CFM of air.

"  * 1/4in. air recess"
Translation: 1/4" air fitting.

I find this stuff funny.

Yeah.  Just go to the dollar store and look at almost any of the packages there.  Also any fun spam messages you get.  Especially the scam ones.

I found a pretty sweet Engrish Generator.  http://steinhoffen.tripod.com/engrish.html

 It am so fun.  I wish I could speak in the Engrish.   Wink

Sometimes the combination of English and foreign languages can be amusing. There is a popular Vietnamese restruant in my neighborhood with a sign that reads "My Dung Restruant"

At my favorite Chinese restaurant, the chopsticks come in little envelopes that have instructions for using them.  At the end of the instructions it mentions something about "Glonus Chinese Cultual" -- "Glorious Chinese Culture," I guess.
