I was so bored last night I actually watched a show on network TV:  The Forgotten, starring Christian Slater.  The cops find a body they can't identify, and the show is about this group of investigators who try to track down who it is so they can inform the person's family, and hopefully catch whoever killed them.  It was moderately interesting, and tossed in a couple of mild twists.  I probably won't bother watching it again, but it was okay.

Anybody else watch any of the new Fall shows?

Network TV is pretty much dead to me.

I'm upset this season.  3 shows I want to watch are on at the same time.  Fringe, Supernatural, and Community (because I think Joel McHale is hilarrious).

I plan on watching NCIS but missed the season opener.

 Not a lot of new shows I want to watch.

The only thing I want to watch on the telly is the third series of Ashes to Ashes....I don't think that's back tilll April.  Bluesad

Well, maybe Doctor Who but that's it.

I find myself watching less telly as I get older.

Watched the season opener of House. Pretty good, although a bit too derivative of "Cuckoo's Nest" and pretty much every other nuthouse movie. I liked it, but I'm not sure where the series can go from there, except perhaps over a big shark. I'll likely check out CSI and Smallville later this week, and Lost in January. Other than that, I've barely been aware of a new TV season, and I couldn't name a single new show.

Funny, I remember back when I knew every new thing that was coming on, and looked forward to checking out half a dozen new shows every fall. I don't know if it's the greater number of alternatives to network television, the increasing sameness of shows, or just having better things to do, but the new TV season just doesn't excite me anymore. I think the only new show to grab my interest this fall is Pitchmen, on the Discovery Channel. But I can't watch it without being very much aware that there will be no future episodes, and if there are, they won't be anywhere near as entertaining without Billy Mays. The show was doomed before it hit the air.

I don't really watch a lot of 'new' shows.  Most seem to get cancelled anyways, and most don't interest me.  Community looks promising.  The Cleveland Show got off to an interesting start.  Beyond that I doubt I'll watch any.

As for returning shows, the only ones I go outta my way to watch are the shows in the Law and Order Franchise, The Simpsons and South Park.  I don't watch as much tv as much as I used to, outside of SNL, Simpsons, Law and Order, South Park, and The Craig Ferguson Show.

There's a lot of network shows I loathe: Lost, The Office, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, The Jay Leno Show, NCIS, CSI, The Amazing Race, Survivor, and about a dozen others.

Let's see here, I'm watching The Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, CSI (All three verisons), NCSI: LA, Law & Order: SVU, The Forgotten, and when it comes out, Blue Collar.

Oh yeah, SyFy is airing Monster on October 12th (EXTREMELY excited to see this).

As you can tell, I am a huge fan of crime dramas.

I don't think I've watched any TV shows on a regular basis since about the late 1970s.  However, I do buy them when they are released on DVD.  If you count the DVD sets, my most recent "complete" viewings were all the SOPRANOS episodes and all the SEINFELD episodes.  I'm currently working my way through:

* KUNG FU
* NIGHT GALLERY
* THE ROOKIES
* THE NIGHT STALKER
* THE TIME TUNNEL
* THE OUTER LIMITS
* THE MONKEES
* THE TWILIGHT ZONE
* THE PRISONER
* CAPTAIN SCARLET
* ULTRA MAN
* LAND OF THE GIANTS
* THE AVENGERS (Diana Rigg episodes only)
* THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
* COLUMBO
* THE FLASH

As you can see, I'm living in the past . . .

I've not watched any really.  Not 'network' shows.  Only Law and Order, The Simpsons, and South Park.

Beyond that, I'm loving the Wrestling Channel.  On Demand.  It's WWE Classics, with thousands of wrestling shows and pay per views dating back to the mid '60s, from the gamut of pro wrestling organizations (NWA, WCCW, WCW, AWA, WWF, WWE, ECW, etc.)

I hate wrestling now, but I have taken my nephews to a couple WWE events.  I was a wrestling fan in the 1970s when it was on TV Saturdays (followed by roller derby).  When I watched it, these were some of the popular wrestlers:

* IVAN PUTSKI (my favorite)
* CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW
* ANDRE THE GIANT
* BRUNO SAMMARTINO
* GORILLA MONSOON
* KEN PATERA (who once won The World's Strongest Men competition)
* MISTER FUJI
* PROFESSOR TANAKA
* TONY GAREA
* THE WOLFMAN
* SGT. SLAUGHTER

Those were the days . . .

About all I'm watching now is Destination Truth with Josh Gates.  They search for monsters.  I get a kick out of it, they go out in the jungle with a thermal imaging camera, they see a spot in the distance and start freaking out.  Dude, it's the jungle - there's animals out there.  I dunno, it's just kind of entertaining.
