"Charlie,we're in HELL!"-"yeah,ain't it groovy?!"

We had a favorite Frankenstein film thead...howsabout Vampire movies? Here are some of mine....

1.DRACULA (1931) Yeah...I know it's stagey and has not aged well...but Karl Fruends photography in the Castle Dracula sequences and Lugosi as Dracula makes it number one for me!
2.NOSFERATU (1922) A classic! Max Shreck is the most vile, diseased looking vampire ever! I noticted the vampire in SALEMS LOT owes much to Graf Orlak...as well as the vampire girl in BLOOD OF DRACULA!
3.TASTE the BLOOD of DRACULA-My favorite Hammer Drac was SCARS of DRACULA....but this one got bumped!
4.VAMPYRE (1932) Creepy. Like a filmed nightmare.
5.FANGS of the LIVING DEAD (1969) aka MALENKA. I just like big breasted vampire women!  Twirling
6.the FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS -Funny,smart,pretty girls,crazy vampires...and a very ugly hunchback!
7.NEAR DARK-Dam cool rural vampire movie. Even got the Cramps on he soundtrack!
8.HORROR of DRACULA-Lee has played Dracula on film more than anyone! (even if some of the movies were quite lame-ie-SATANIC RITES OF DRACULA and DRACULA AD 1972). For me not to have this clasic on the list would be blashphomas.(Did I spell that right?  Question)
9.MARK OF THE VAMPIRE-Yeah,I know....the end is a cheat...but technically this is a vampire movie. Luna and Count Mora are iconic images. Luna (Carol Borland) set the standered for vampire girls-like Vampira,Lily Munster, and Elvira!
10.MARTIN-Sick George Romero vampire film. Scary and intelligent

Dont ya think? It's Nosferatu's daughter!
(from BLOOD OF DRACULA)

In no particular order, and hardly well considered or scholarly, here's some that came to mind:
1) THE NIGHT STALKER (1972 made-for-TV)
2) DRACULA (1931)
3) DRACULA (1973 with JACK PALANCE made-for-TV)
4) DRACULA'S DAUGHTER (1936)
5) CASTLE OF BLOOD (1964 DANZA MACABRA)
6) ATOM AGE VAMPIRE (1960 L'EREDE DI SATANA SEDDOK)
7) HORROR OF DRACULA (1958)
8) VAMPYR (1932)
9) GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE (1974 ~ okay it's dumb, but I like it!)
10) COUNT DRACULA (1977 with LOUIS JOURDAN made-for-TV)

Still adding pix... CASTLE OF BLOOD could be argued as not exactly a vampire movie, but it is.

I almost added BLACK SUNDAY...as Barb's vampire sidekick is essential to the film...but it seemed more like a witchcraft or ghost movie to me.

Hmm there's so many of these....my faves would probably include (not really in order of preference here):

1) DRACULA - 1931 Spanish Version. In many ways, it's superior to its American counterpart..in terms of style, direction and atmosphere at least.
2) DRACULA - 1931 Lugosi, Frye, Van Sloan - still chilling after all these years in its own way. Great acting and atmosphere helps make up for it being a little slow-moving.
3) NOSFERATU, A SYMPHONY OF HORROR - 1922 Max Shreck film is still likely the most scary of 'em all.
4) SALEM'S LOT (1979) TV Mini - the kid vampires were the element to really chill me to the bone here but there's also a Shreck-like vampire. The first movie to truly terrify me as a kid.
5) HORROR OF DRACULA (1958) - Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing in this 50s update of the classic Dracula story gives him arguably even more fangs and bite.
6) THE BRIDES OF DRACULA (1960) I enjoyed this follow-up even if it didn't actually feature Count Dracula but his disciple Baron Meinster (David Peel). Still has Cushing as Van Helsing.
7) KISS OF THE VAMPIRE (1963) - it's quite a little different take on the standard vampire tale. Another non-Dracula vampire film from Hammer.
8) THE NIGHT STALKER (1972) - Carl Kolchak tries to prove the existence of a modern-day vampire but meets roadblock after roadblock along the way until finally he decides to take action himself.
9) HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS (1970) - Vampire Barnabas Collins searches for a cure so he can be married.
10) VAMPYR (1932) - moody, surreal vampire movie. The scenes from inside the casket are very chilling.

BounceGiggle  The story is epically bad though.  I'd challenge anyone to sit through the first one without cringing.
