Old thread revival! I watched this today on Netflix. And without reading this thread, I told my daughter this movie seemed like it was written by a group of junior high boys. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought so. It had its fun moments, but overall, it was just plain dumb. It wasn't even consistent in its own world--the writers just seemed to pull out whatever new carp (fish joke! Whee!
) they could think of whenever it was convenient. The results are funny to talk about, but just a little painful to actually watch. And Paul Logan apparently has only one expression, and I think it's supposed to be "intensity." Or maybe constipation. It could be either; I don't think he ever drank the water, which would take care of the latter...
And Rev, I'll add one more to your list of things learned: Helicopters have unlimited fuel (unless they're hit by a bullet), easily flying from Venezuela to Florida without running out of fuel, and if a helicopter IS hit by a bullet, a small oxygen bottle will give it several more minutes of flight time.
