I found the VHS of it in a second hand store, and since it had a spirit face in the sky, and a helicopter exploding, and I like collecting obscure trash, I thought I'd buy it for a few pennies.
It seems to center about a hunting trip in French Canada, and the legend of the Wendigo. The characters seem to be some horny lady, an egotistical photographer, a pilot, some other douche, and a French-Canadian guide/woodsman and his Indian helper. It's very low key, and should be totally boring, but the French-Canadian woodsman/guide was so over the top with his accent and inflections that it was fairly amusing to watch.
The reason I made this topic though, is because the VHS mysteriously stops at 57 minutes in and rewinds, even though the back of the box says 91 minutes. It stopped just after the Indian was taken by a mysterious force and the French-Canadian and the egotistical photographer were canoeing to the rescue. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this obscure film and can give me closure to the heart stopping terror by revealing how it turns out.
I can find very little information about it on the internet. If I do a search, I get the film from 2001, or the Marvel character. I had to put in the director's name to get anything, but then it only gave me what was on the box anyway. Actually, I did manage to find a video clip here:
