Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd- based somewhat due to a suggestion from AHD.  Good album. Wink

Raw Power by Iggy and The Stooges.  Again, seen AHD mention it and suggest it, and being familiar with Iggy's solo stuff, decided to grab it.

The Essential Elvis Presley

Did because I've always loved Elvis, but realized I have no Elvis at all.

Bought Van Halen's '95 Balance album, which was recommended to me by my former manager. I can't get into it at all, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge is still way better in terms of Van Hagar stuff...

I've bought yet another batch of CDs and Cassettes from my favorite local thrift store, because they were having a great sale:

CDs:

Mechanical Resonance - Tesla (A band I've heard about and wanted to explore)

Big Bam Boom - Hall and Oates (See above)

Woodface - Crowded House (I like an associated band Split Enz so I decided to get the two Crowded House albums I saw)

Place Without a Postcard - Midnight Oil (I have one other CD by this band and it was good enough to make me buy this)

Empire - Queensryche (Again, it's a band I've been wanting to explore)

Temple of Low Men - Crowded House

Music for TV Dinners (On the back of the case it's described with the following: "An inspiring and soothing collection of production music - ready-made tunes that have appeared in everything from feature-length movies to TV and radio commercials, and even those "edifying" driver's ed and good citizenship films you were forced to watch on school.")

Cassettes:

101 - Depeche Mode (2-cassette set)

On Through the Night - Def Leppard

Raised on Radio - Journey

Theatre of Pain - Motley Crue

(I've been wanting to explore all 4 of these bands.)
