...kind of a flip around of Darksider's thread (hope you don't mind Wink)

I've seen Saw 6. but none of the others

also seen 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer', but not the first one

strangely, Terminator 2 is one of my fav action films since it came out, but to this day I have never seen 'Terminator'!

any more, add on...

Not quite what you're talking about, but I managed to see the Evil Dead series in reverse order.  Army of Darkness first, then later, Evil Dead 2, then much later the first Evil Dead.

ok, maybe I didn't put it too well...

I mean are there any films which have a sequel, or sequels, and you've seen one of these sequels, but you've never seen the original 'Number 1' in the series...

i.e. if someone's seen Jaws 2 and Jaws :The Revenge, but somehow they've never seen 'Jaws'

that kind of thing  Thumbup

I understand what you meant.  I just thought I'd throw that out there.

I've always seen the original first. In some cases there is no need to see the original, like Troll or Bloody Murder.

Not quite what you're talking about, but I managed to see the Evil Dead series in reverse order.  Army of Darkness first, then later, Evil Dead 2, then much later the first Evil Dead.

I saw Army of Darkness a long time ago, and saw Evil Dead 2 a couple years back.  I still don't think I've seen the original all the way through, but from what I understand there is a LOT of overlap between 1 and 2, and everything is summarized in AOD anyway.

Still love that avatar, btw.  And I especially love the description that comes up on the Comcast guide for it: "This time, the trick is on a doctor (whatever the actor's name is) who stumbles upon a plot."  That's the whole thing.   BounceGiggle

To the other post's point, why the hell would anyone watch Jaws 2 before the original?  I mean, the only reason you'd ever get tricked into seeing the 2nd one is if you saw how cool the first one was....

Imagine if someone saw 2010 before 2001 - they'd never want to watch the good one!

One I'd wager a lot of people on here have seen the sequel but not the original is Master of the Flying Guillotine - as the opening and some flashback sequences make clear, it is the sequel to The One-Armed Boxer AKA The Chinese Professionals.  I have a copy of the original, but I started watching it only to find out my copy's quality was so bad it wasn't worth watching.  Still haven't gotten around to getting a new copy just yet, but there really isn't a definitive release of it, unlike Master of the Flying Guillotine.  Too bad, as it looks like good stuff.

I saw Nemesis 2 some time long ago and really hated it enough to not give the original a chance to this day... granted, I was about 6 years old XD

I saw EVIL DEAD 2 before the original.

I also saw FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 and HALLOWEEN 2 before the originals.

Going further back, I saw SON OF FRANKENSTEIN many, many years before seeing FRANKENSTEIN, or BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, even.  Smile
