I think it's going to be fine. I heard that Davenport had to rewrite most of the scripts and if he just does that again then it should be golden. Plus it just means more budget for effects and stuff like that.
I want the show to stick around because I wanna see what happens to that one punk cop. The guy's losing it and it all started when he nearly beat that guy to death in episode 3. And lying to his partner's wife about her husband's "death" so that he can have her! The guy is definitely heading for some kind of bruising later on in the show.
But to think that this whole thing with the writers is over the other guy's ego and wanting to be top dog.
There again, you had that kinda' thing with Guy Williams and Jonathan Harris on
Lost In Space. Harris stole the show and Guy Williams (as Prof. John Robinson) watched his role diminish as head of the Robinson family to just another onlooker.
Be it that my Lost In Space example was an actors' dispute and not a writers' dispute, it may be apples and oranges, but the point is is that p**sing contests are apparently quite frequent in both acting and writing camps. I guess that'll never change.
