Is there a hole to wonderland? When you are struggling in the commen life,you may want a hole to get out of it.But,in fact you must bear the pain and go forward. Rabbit Hole gives us the tale of a couple struggling with the death of their young son Danny(Phoenix List) eight months after his death.On the outside the lives of Howie (Aaron Eckhart) and Becca (Nicole Kidman) seem normal enough. But we can tell something is wrong. We slowly realize there is a missing member of this family whose absence is not only felt in every frame but is slowly destroying the couple from within.
There is a scene in the library,when Becca keep track the high school student driving a car accident,she heard a mother tell her daughter a story that is called “runaway rabbit”,only the mother can understand the feelings which is more than any words.The “runaway rabbit” in the film,it is inexplicable sadness,we can’t help to burst into tears.
Rabbit Hole is directed by John Cameron Mitchell,from a script by acclaimed playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, adapted from his Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The cast, led by Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman (THE HOURS, Actress in a Leading Role, 2002) and Golden Globe nominee Aaron Eckhart, includes two-time Oscar winner Dianne Wiest and so on.That stars showed us a sad story vividly must be got the good praises for the awards critics.
