I've been re-watching both franchises lately. Although I enjoy the two, I'm curious to know about your opinions on the movies.

Agreed. Even though I'm in the minority that thinks the Alien Newborn is a neat creature, I prefer to pretend that Resurrection doesn't exist.

People dog Predator 2 constantly, I actually like it quite a lot.  Maybe not as much as the ah-nold version but I don't get the hate.  I find Danny Glover to be immensely entertaining and Busey to be a good side antagonist.

I actually don't mind Alien Resurrection that much either Doggy.

Alien and Aliens are two of my favorite movies of all time.  Unfortunately I've watched them so many times I really can't stand to sit through them any more  BounceGiggle  Alien 3 is good too, especially the Director's cut.  I thought Resurrection was just plain terrible.

Predator is another huge favorite.  I also liked Predator 2 - not quite as good as the original, but it had its charms.  I haven't seen Predators yet.

I liked the original Alien. I could do without Alien Resurrection. I liked the first Predator, didn't care for the sequel or AVP. I recently watched the newest edition of the Predator franchise and liked it much more than I thought I would. I thought Adrien Brody did a lot better job in it than he did in Splice (honestly I don't see why there was so much hype around Splice).

I really love Alien and Aliens.  Alien 3 and Resurrection just don't hold up for me (and I've seen both multiple times).  As for Predator, I liked the first one, but just not enough to go sing its praises or watch it again.  I love Predator 2!  It's honestly one of my favourite movies of all time!
I have seen AVP, and I'm just not that big a fan.  It's on par with Alien 3 and Resurrection for me.  I have not seen Predators or AVPR.

I really like both Alien and Aliens.  Didn't care for the sequels that followed.

Liked both Predator and Predator2 as well.  Saw Predators recently and thought it was pretty good.

I'm sure Hollywood has plans for more sequels, remakes,  or whatever ...  Lookingup

I like Predator - in fact, it is one of my favorite movies of all time.  Predator 2 is also quite good.  I didn't like Predators.

The Alien franchise doesn't do a whole lot for me.  Alien has awesome production design but is otherwise extremely blah.  Even Aliens hasn't held up too well.  It only gets really good from the "ceiling attack" scene onwards.  I could take or leave the previous 2/3 of the movie.  Alien 3 is ... ok.  Alien Resurrection never happened.  There was no such movie made.

This. It's tough for me to choose as I like pretty much every film (though I haven't seen the most recent Predator outing, and the AVP films were a little disappointing)

Alien Resurrection may not be the best movie out there, but it does have Winona Ryder in it and she's friggin' hot.  That makes up for any flaws it might have.

I've liked every film so far for different reasons but it definitely became more of a guilty pleasure by Alien Resurrection and the AVP films which are the worst ones so far IMO. Haven't seen Predators yet.
