Screens tomorrow where I live. Anyone else seeing it?

I love the original. It's got a perfect balance of horror and humor, the film is very cleverly written with great cinemagraphic and some of Wes Craven's best direction. Granted Craven is horrific at writing his own screenplays, which is why he should only stick to directing other peoples work. Didn't care to much for Scream 2 or Scream 3, though to be fair they had there moments, but based on the trailers Scream 4 looks to be a long overdue return to form.

I thought SCREAM was okay, but overhyped.  Didn't like SCREAM 2 very much.  Haven't seen 3 yet.  Probably won't see 4 . . . at least not for a long time.

I liked the original, didn't like any of the sequels at all, but I understand it was inevitable. I'll probably wait for Scream 4 to hit NetFlix.

I'm down the middle on this one. On one side it could be worse than the third which in itself was dreadful and made little sense. On the other, they have waited a long time to get this out and maybe took their time to wright something good.

I will watch it, but I'm not going to be in any rush.

Not really interested. Like most folks on here I thought the original was overhyped and the sequels really sucked so I won't be running to the theatre for this one.

I've seen the first 3 and loved them all.  They all had their own vibe which I loved and I was very happy the same actors stayed in their roles through the whole franchise.

Looking forward to Scream 4.  I might actually go and see it in the cinema  Thumbup

watched this last night

not very impressed tbh...references to facebook, twitter, Saw, and Final Destination shoehorned into the first 5 minutes with all the subtlety of very unscary sledgehammer. I actually got annoyed with how clever and edgy the film clearly thought it was with all its 'film-within-a-film' allusions...  post-ironic existentialism for dummies. Hayden Panatierre(sp?) annoys me as well, she looks like a right narky b***h. only good thing was Courteney Cox looking quite the cougar  Thumbup. 3/10

I liked it.  It wasn't great, but it had a  nice charm to it.   I especialy like how the motive of the serial killer amounted t basically just being a homicidal camera whore.

Completely agree. Was as if Craven got completely obsessed with the notion that everybody wanted some sort of ironic commentary on horror films in 2011 that he completely forgot that he still had to make a horror movie. Felt so watered down & unoffensive.
It sounds like it didn't make anywhere near as much at the box office than was expected, hopefully this will kill the franchise off as I don't think it has anything more to offer.

At least it's better than 2 and 3, IMO. It's ridiculous and lacks logic, but I had fun watching it.

Thought this one was alright.  Not exceptional, but better than 3. I gave it a 7/10.  I found the concept for the new villain satisfying, overall.

The main reason I ended up going to see it was because the town scenes were shot in my home city of Northville, Michigan.  Despite this, I did not recognize a single shot.  It was only upon seeing some behind-the-scenes shots that I could even tell - a lot of this is because they shot around newer locations, and I haven't lived there in 9 years.

But, the book store Sydney does the signing at is right next to the Great Harvest Bread Co. I used to bike to as a child in order to get free samples.   TeddyR
