Glad to see Spider Baby getting a few mentions  Thumbup

I got caught in SPIDER BABY's web ( Lookingup) waaay back in the 80s when I saw a brief clip (when Ralph crawls out of the car) on a Zacherly compilation VHS 'Horrible Horror'. There was no official release of it yet so I wound up ordering a washed out, dupey copy from Sinister Cinema for something like 40 bucks!

That's Night of the Lepus - I don't know if it qualifies as a cult classic but I freaking LOVE that movie.

I can't handle positive evaluations of that movie sorry.

I think being a cult classic has more to do with the movie's fanbase.

I.E. Only enjoyed by people in cults.  BounceGiggle

For my two cents, I'd say Primer.

The cinematography alone makes LEPUS a classic bad movie.

Board room exec meeting:

"Ok, we need giant rabbits.  Who do we see about that?"

"Um, well, we have seven dollars left in the budget after paying Bones, Janet Leigh, and Rory Calhoun...we can't even afford to buy terrible rabbit suits or hire extras off the street to wear them."

"Hmm.  Ok.  Here's what we do.  We buy two rabbits.  We let them do their thing.  By the time we get to production, we have like 500 rabbits."

"I like it.  I'll bring in my daughter's 'Wild West General Store' playset, and we'll put the rabbits in there."

"Ooh, and we can feed the rabbits Alka Seltzer to make them look like they're foaming at the mouth.  And if we just put the camera REALLY close to the rabbits, they'll seem like they're enormous!"

"We are so getting promoted for this."
