Despite having a SYFY original sounding name this is one of the the best low budget sci-fi films I've seen in a long while.
The movie is a bit of Pitch Black meets Enemy Mine, actually the movie is a lot like Enemy Mine and even seems to build off that movies universe.
The story is set on a desolate planet, after a transport ship carrying a dangerous prisoner crashes, the remaining survivors must find and recapture the escaped prisoner and wait for their rescue. The story is seems familiar enough and it is, but its done with a lot of style and with few cheap shots at the audience. I would like to tell more about the movie, but I would end up giving a lot away if I did.
The makeup and costumes in this movie are amazingly well crafted. The alien makeup was great considering the movies low budget, they looked very life like. The costumes are also incredibly well done, especially the soldiers combat armor. One glaring flaw of the movie is that the CGI is not up to par with the rest, but luckily its not used much.
I think most of you would like this movie, if you have Net flix take a look for it on there and check out.
