JACK PALANCE played a great Dracula in a TV version produced by DAN CURTIS

I thought this was a Dracula thread.Yorga aint Dracula.Robert Quarry is quoted as saying that Lugosi was a bad actor.
f**k Robert Quarry. What did he do? the Yorga films? Some other obscure s**t? f**k HIM!!!!! Robert Quarry isnt fit to smell Bela's s**t!  hot

OH-I thought Jack Palance was excellent-I recall watching it when then vice president Spiro Agnew jumped the boat.Had to catch the rest later. f**kin Agnew.

Dan Curtis was resp. for Jack Palance as Dracula? Hmm...a certain Jonathan Frid got his vampiric rise to fame under the same man when he decided to hide in all those "Dark Shadows"...  Wink

Oh and Quarry also did another "obscure" classic called The Deathmaster that's not as unpopular as some would have it.

John Forbes-Robertson played Dracula in the kung fu/horror film the LEGEND OF THE 7 GOLDEN VAMPIRES (1974).
He also had bit parts in LIFEFORCE (1981),the VAULT OF HORROR (1973) and the VAMPIRE LOVERS (1970).

The Spainish actor Narciso Ibanez Menta played the Count in a Spainish TV series in 1970 and in the feature film the SAGA of DRACULA (1972).
Actually-he was a quite the horror star in his home country!

Would you believe Vincent Price as Dracula???

Actually-he plays an actor scaring the gang of the 1960's TV show F TROOP!
I have't seen said episode, but according to the book HEROS OF THE HORRORS by Calvin T. Beck-he uses a Lugosi type accent as well!!!  Buggedout

and of course..."But remember this. Without me, this place will be as exciting as...Bucharest...on a Monday night."

Charles Macauly had a brief but memorable role as Dracula in BLACULA. In the prologue set in the 1800's he locks William Marshall in a coffin (I don't remember why) and dubs him Blacula!

Udo Kier was a rather sickly Dracula in BLOOD FOR DRACULA aka ANDY WORHOL'S DRACULA. He could only drink the blood of virgins since non-virgin blood made him blow chunks. Joe Dallesandro offers to help out the heroine to make her blood undrinkable to Dracula.

SPOILER! Kier gets his arms and legs chopped of but keeps hissing and fighting, just like the Black Knight in MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL!

Rudolf Martin. He gets points because he both played Vlad the Impaler AND Dracula himself (in Buffy)

Even though I was a "Buffy" fan I hated that episode about Dracula. He was made out to be such a wuss. The real Dracula would kick Buffy's ass. lol.
