I tracked this down after this post:
http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,134740.0.htmlThe film is a mix of "Brigadoon" and "Hostel," with some rockabilly music tossed into the mix. It is a strange combination, and I drove Katie nuts by calling it about halfway through the movie.
The first thirty minutes or so are decently done. What is built up is the "crabs in a pot" plot, with the trailer park inhabitants dragging down a young woman who only wants to escape the dysfunctional group. There are a few murders that strain believability, because the (still human) trailer park inhabitants kill three people with no consequences. It's after the death of her new beau that the young woman, Norma, snaps. She meets Trace Adkins, who turns out to be some sort of demon that gives her a cursed gun to kill the rest of the trailer park. Nobody survives Norma's rampage, not even Norma.
Years later, a youth outreach program gets lost and stumbles on the trailer park, apparently deserted except for Norma. The group is split up and almost all of them fall victim to the ghosts (which look like zombies) of the dead inhabitants. Once the killing starts, the quality of the movie plunges dramatically.
My favorite part was one zombie putting another zombie (who had been blown up by a land mine) back together with a heavy duty stapler and duct tape. The film would have been a lot more enjoyable if it aimed for black humor or a straightforward revenge and consequences story.
