Being from a small Ontario town, any celebrities I can think of who attended my high school were NHL players.

The only one who comes to mind for me is Gary McAdam: Selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1975 NHL Entry Draft, played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Calgary Flames, Washington Capitals, New Jersey Devils, and Toronto Maple Leafs before retiring following the 1985–86 NHL season. He had to have been at my high school, though I do not recall him being there. I do remember him from grades six through eight. Husky guy, a couple of years older than the rest of us. Played the role of a sort of low-key 'Fonz' as a consequence.
