It depends. I withdraw about $200 (150€) whenever I go to an ATM and work it down to $20 (15€) before I withdraw more.

How much cash do you usually carry around?

I rarely carry cash anymore since I started using a debit card.

I have about $1.25 in loose change in my jacket pocket, which is more than I usually have on me.  TeddyR

Amazingly, I almost never have any money in my wallet.  Not even $1.00.  My paycheck gets direct-deposited so there is rarely a need for me to go to the bank.  I use American Express for about 90% of my purchases and I do most of my shopping online.  So, I really don't need cash most of the time.  At this moment, I don't even have a penny on me.

Anywhere from $5 to $50 I suppose.  I don't really carry much cash.  My wife does all the shopping, and I buy stuff online, or else at the convenience store where I use their credit card because I get a discount.  That's just the "Could you pick up some milk on your way home?" type stuff.  On those rare occasions when I actually go to the store alone, either I've got a few bucks or I put it on the American Express.

Make that .25 in loose change. Just used $1.00 of it to get a Snickers bar out of the vending machine. I'm such a spendthrift.

Then I get the big wad of coupons out of my pocket and lay them all over the counter and start going through them one by one   BounceGiggle

That sounds familiar....I get paid every Monday and, since it's a day off,I distribute it to all the more deserving people. Like the electric company, the water company, the place we're buying a van, etc. I try to always keep about $20 for emergencies....and it had better be a cheap emergency. Wink
