I dont remember much about the movie other than standing around in the background where men dressed in the same red suits as the emperor's guards in the star wars films. can anyone help? it was i believe and 80's sci fi movie. i thought the last starfighter but i cant find any clips or pics to prove it.

Probably Flash Gordon.

The Black Hole also has some guys who resemble the Imperial Guards but the outfits are black.

no sorry those cant be it, i haven't seen either of them.  could it be the last starfighter? i can only remember guards at the door and someone walks in. the guard where in the red suits.

Arrgh!  I know I have seen this!  I remember remarking on the resemblance at the time.  Now it's going to be bugging me that I cannot remember what movie it was in - curse you!   BounceGiggle
