^ gorgeous view!  So far we've got maybe a half inch of snow but judging from the weather map we should get a bit more before it's done.  The Weather Channel says 1 - 4 inches but I think we'll be real lucky if we get 1".

The weather is glorious so far today.  A warm mid 20 degree Celsius day, barely any clouds in the sky.  Bring on the warmer months I say!

Yesterday I said we'd be lucky to get 1" of snow - we ended up with a little under 8"  Thumbup

That's beautiful. Cold for an African like myself but beautiful.  Smile Thumbup

The typical wet and rainy early winter season here in the Northeast. It's about the mid 40's to almost 50 outisde. Not warm but not really cold either. If it means I won't have to shovel snow again for another year, I'll take it  Smile

It snowed a little last night.  And of course, it melted away this morning, vanquishing any hopes I had of any patients cancelling their appointments at work, which would have made my day easier.  Oh well.

No snow here, but snow this early would be abnormal, as we normally do not get snow till after the 1st of the year.

Also abnormally warm and dry. The warmth I can tolerate, but the dryness . . . ? People in this area unfortunately think since there has always been water here there will continue to be all the water need. So, later on next year, when the city puts in water rationing, a number of people get in a snit, because they cannot water their lawns every day of the week.

And what is worst, the dryness means a good chance of grass wildfires later next year. Of course, that problem is compounded by people building in areas they should not build in. Areas that have always had wildfires.

Hopefully, we are not to the end of the wet season, so maybe we'll make up for the dryness later on.

This is the kind of weather report I like:

Quote
Windy. Snow and heavy snow this morning will diminish to a few snow showers this afternoon. High around 30F. Winds NNW at 25 to 35 mph. 3 to 5 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

All schools closed.  Unfortunately I only live about 5 miles from work so I'll probably have to slip and slide my way in.

60 MPH wind gusts, sleet, snow coming. Came home to find about half of my Christmas decorations are somewhere in the woods. In short, perfect night for a good fire and a cup of hot chocolate.
