So, I wanted to relive some of my 'misspent youth' and catch a few hair metal vids on youtube/vevo, and while watching "Modern Day Cowboy" by Tesla, I saw in the "Suggestions" section I saw...

Karma Chameleon by Culture Club.

Huh?

Could be worse . . . it could have been "FRIDAY" by Rebecca Black!

It's from roughly the same time period.  Not the best suggestion of course, but about as good as a lot of suggestion-generator programs tend to produce BounceGiggle

Vevo does stupid s**t, having a completely different band in the background and having basically the WORST suggestions on Youtube. This is why I will try to avoid Vevo at all cost.

You know Pandora always gives me New Order and Depeche mode on every one of my stations, I hate both bands.  It even showed up in my metal channel!

short answer: vevo is screwy.
I've also found general youtube tends to base suggested vids on my viewing history, and not necessarily things that are related to what I'm currently looking at, but that probably isn't what happened here.  So.....vevo is screwy.

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

It's really very simple: Boy George had hair, and he wore metal. Voila: Hair metal! I don't see the confusion.  TeddyR Lookingup
