That seriously hot,dry summer we had last year seems to have gotten rid of most of the fire ants on our property and we have finally started seeing tarantula on it again. Yea! Wink

You can dump me in a vat full of snakes but not spiders, please. They normally wind up as a smear on my cricket bat.

I don't know. Tarantulas, in spite of their size, don't seem as creepy to me as smaller spiders. It's the proportions and, of course, the fuzziness. A taratula is like a hamster with more legs and more eyes. Oh, and a poisonous bite. OK, not like a hamster at all, but still cuter than most other spiders.

Mind you, they don't get much cuter than a jumping spider.

Adorable.

Tarantula don't bother me but this one does.....the brown recluse.

My sister got a bite on her arm and it caused such a deep hole there...her skin rotting away and she said the nerve pain was terrible.
