So the theme from SKYFALL is all over the radio right now; what are some of your favorite (and least favorite) James Bond songs?

My top 5:
GOLDENEYE - Tina Turner
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkBYVNrjjIs" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkBYVNrjjIs</a>

THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH - Garbage
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM63rhWsz4s" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM63rhWsz4s</a>

GOLDFINGER - Shirley Bassey
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MagCoUYvIXE" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MagCoUYvIXE</a>

LIVE AND LET DIE - Paul McCartney
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK2hKzZss5Y" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK2hKzZss5Y</a>

"Nobody Does It Better" (THE SPY WHO LOVED ME) - Carly Simon

the worst?  DIE ANOTHER DAY, unequivocally

Probably Live And Let Die. Macca's best post-'fab four' tune IMO. Goldfinger is hefty as well.

Also, although I like Garbage, them doing a Bond theme was somehow wrong to me? just seemed not quite right...dunno why.

Garbage was a .... different choice, but I like it.   Smile
The one that always struck me as not quite right was Chris Cornell's song for CASINO ROYALE.  Didn't sound Bond-like.

I don;t like McCartney or Wings, but Live and Let Die is my favorite.  I also really like Goldfinger, just for its total Bond-ness cool.

Mid-90's Portishead hit this same vibe when they were at their best.

That one is just outside of my top 5.  I also like the song kd lang did for TOMORROW NEVER DIES, but it's not the official theme (it played at the end credits, I think.)

Good call, Glory Box has a Bond kind of feel...

Catatonia - 'Godspeed' would've made a great bond theme IMO. Sadly can't find it on youtube, only a live version that doesn't do it justice at all.

Also this track by Broadcast , perhaps... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw5ztuhEat4

I like in no particular order For Your Eyes Only,  Spy Who Loved Me , Goldfinger, and Diamonds Are Forever.  I'd like to say "Live And Let Die" however that song kind of just dominates the whole movie and becomes annoying to me after awhile.

Love the two Shirley Bassey ones, don't care for any of the others.

I may be the only person alive who digs You Know My Name by Chris Cornell.

Also, the one by Jack White and Alicia Keys sucks IMO.  Bluesad

I dig Live and Let Die.

Also dig this Bond-theme parody by Weird Al.  The bit at the end with his head exploding is a reference to Tom Jones passing out recording his song... BounceGiggle

Captain Planet is the most useless superhero ever.  His weakness: pollution.  Hopefully nobody litters or drives by as he's attempting to fight crime.
