The thing I find aggravating about this whole mess is that there is NOTHING in the Mayan calendar or any historical/archaeological record remotely suggesting they believed the world would in 2012.  Whacked out lunatics in the 1950's dreamed this up from their own deluded fantasies and somehow it's become popularly accepted as 'truth.'

It does provide fodder for a lot of fun, though.  The only thing I don't like is the repeating of the notion that the Mayan Calendar says this.
