GARBAGE DAY!

« on: May 09, 2013, 05:53:36 PM »

Hey folks!
What film from yesteryear (preferably not newer than 2000) would you like to remake?  What would you do differently with this update?  Who would you like to star in it?  Any cameos?

I would love to have Phantasm remade (and there had been talks but nothing in stone).  Angus Scrimm has got to be getting VERY long in the tooth.  So for the next Tall Man I nominate..

CHRISTOPHER LLOYD!

He is tall, and can make a great bad guy.  I would like this version of the Tall Man to be an angry, profane, violence-loving psychopathic alien.

Of course, if I could get Mr. Scrimm to narrate certain parts of the film, that would be terrific.

What movie would YOU remake, and how?  You can take movies that were already remade (and point out why you're remaking them the RIGHT way, yours!)?

I would remake remake HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN with Robert DeNiro as Dracula, Robert Downy as Larry Talbot, and Robert Davi as the Frankenstein Monster. The mad doc would be Jeffery Coombs. The hunchback would be Steve Buscemi. The gypsy girl-Christina Ricci.

I would remake THE DEMON from South Africa.

1. I would direct it myself.
2. I would use the original DOP Vincent G Cox ASC as the photographer on this.
3. John Carpenter to do the music and probably assist in the direction.
4. It would be filmed in a coastal South African town instead of Johannesburg.
5. NO SAGGY PANTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buggedout

Colin Farrell as The Demon
Trevor T. Moses as the Colonel
Angelina Jolie as The Mother
Brad Pitt as The Father

I find I'm so excited that I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel. A free man at a start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

Honey Boo Boo and Snooki have more money and are far more successful than you are.  How does that make you feel?
