Dammit.  Nolan again?  Well, that kills any interest I had in a Justice League movie.  I may be in the minority, but I thought his Batman stuff was terrible.

While I liked his Batman stuff, its that it just worked FOR BATMAN.  What gets me down is seeing so many people trying to apply the grim and realistc to certain heroes whether its merited or not (one of the reasons I pretty much refuse to watch Arrow. )

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Interesting. There's Marvel. There's DC. And that's about it.  And with Warners bowing out as the production company, maybe we'll get something close to Marvel in terms of the number of films released. But . . .

They have the actors. They have the writers. They have the director, and I can imagine Warner's will distribute, but who will produce. The last two films directed by Snyder were produced by Legendary Pictures in association with Warner's. Are they going to be the production company of choice or someone else?

And how much of the lost for "Jack the Giant Slayer," which seems to be on the road to lose more money on its $300 million budget than "John Carter of Mars" and/or "Battleship" will Legendary Pictures have to eat. Of course, Legendary Pictures has a number of films between now and 2014, which is the soonest I expect a "Justice Leage" film to be ready, that may prove to be highly profitable like "The Avengers."

Still, with Warner's getting out of the picture, those that want to see a "Justice League" film may actually get their wish. So stay tuned for future developments.

I agree; he turned the character into a thug.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Marvel and DC seem to have very different attitudes when it comes to adaptions.

DC seems intent on you taking their stuff seriously.

Marvel on the other hand seems to have a much more larger than life and tongue in cheek take on their characters.

I always picture some pretentious sounding voice trying to explain how DC's work is a action drama that takes a realistic look at superheroes, while Marvel is just going "We're making a superhero movie... with guys in tights.  They beat the crap out of each other and it's awesome!"
