So, has anyone heard of this before? Apparently there's a series of sidewalk chalk codes which kids in some areas use to mark houses as to what type of treats they give out. The article says it's particularly handy for kids who live in neighborhoods that have a strict curfew.
For example
Means "No one home"
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Full Sized Candy Bars (These houses were my favorite as a kid!)
And so on.
It's actually a pretty neat system. My question though, is this something new that got invented after I was a kid (I'm 39), or something old I just never heard of?
Anyway, you can read the article about it here...
http://www.cockeyed.com/archive/candy_code/candy_code.htmlGranted, this whole article might just be a joke, as some of the "symbols" seem a little unrealistic, for example
"100% Pure Angus Beef"?!?
And
Out of candy, giving out sauce packets from Taco Bell
But, still, sounds like it good a neat idea if neighborhood kids were organized enough to use it.
