"Charlie,we're in HELL!"-"yeah,ain't it groovy?!"

I  am here because I learned how to use a computer when I met Tara Sue in 2005. I started buying old monster magazines from Ebay. I joined a group which got hacked in the same year. I joined a group called In the Balcony-and some dumb f**ker who called himself something Gravy-he's still there-OH! Laughing Gravy-he's some kinda bigshot over there-and he banned me. And I found BAD movies-BOING! it hit the spot. I loved the reviews (RIP Andrew)-and here I am! That was all in 2005.
Why-and how-did you get here?

Well, I watched THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER in 1981 . . . and one thing led to another.

I started out (2001) at horrordigital and aintitcool.com but didn't like the layout of the aintitcool forum much (too chaotic), though I was a regular at their chatroom. From there I hung out at a few ezboard forums with weird and/or eccentric (?) admins and site owners as I recall, and ended up at filmhobbit.com where I became a mod for the DVD forum. I left filmhobbit after they changed to cinemablend, and sort of re-connected with old forum members on facebook, but was unfriended over the years because of my lack of facebook activity (I think).
After cinemablend I drifted to joblo.com and DVDManiacs. joblo had incredible traffic and it was kind of fun posting there. DVDManiacs was like a tight-knit community with legendary forum drama that should be on wikipedia  BounceGiggle I was shocked to see that DVDManiacs is pretty much dead now. If anything, it was the ultimate "bro forum" (members travelling to meet each other in real life all the time) and makes me wonder where all the members are now. joblo isn't what it used to be either and also kind of dead. So what brought me here? A online friend who told me to check it out. Simple as that  TeddyR Must've been mid 2000s I think.

..Because my mom spat me out of her lady parts.

Oh!  Sorry, I misunderstood the header.  Giggidy.

I liked many of the movie reviews on this site.  I like the setup for Memorable Quotes, Stuff To Look For, Video/Audio clips, etc.  So I got around to writing my own.  I kind of miss the updates.

Initially I came here for Andrew's reviews. I was a regular on many forums, the first was actually one for Space: the Imagination Station in Canada, Andrew Kidd used to post there and invited me to check out Scifilm where I was a regular for many years. Also started posting regularly on IMDB horror forum board where I also made a number of friends..when IMDB changed their format and we saw a lot of our posts removed and it gotten taken over by trolls and annoying kids, many of us left there, some also went to post at Scifilm. I also posted on Sinister Cinema's board briefly but when Gerry took down Scifilm's forum, many of us moved on to elsewhere (I also posted at Dr. Mality's Wormwood Chronicles), and badmovies.org became one of the places I visited the most. And this place to me has the closest feel to former places I most enjoyed visiting before they ended or things went south. This place seems to have more lasting power though than most. Glad to see that. Let's hope it continues for a long time to come...

I really don't recall how I got here. I think it was either mentioned on imdb.com or, most likely, a random internet search for movie details and got here from one of the results.
