Anyone play Magic The Gathering?  I'm looking in possibly off-loading my entire collection soon.  There used to be a local shop within spitting distance of where I used to live that played it so I got into (re)collecting the cards (especially since at the time and online website Troll and Toad used to have this "grab bag" bargain where you could get random cards for a penny each.)

But.. even though there are two shops nearby that play games regular, I think I've always enjoying looking at/collecting the cards more than actually playing the game (probably cause I just don't have the strategy for it and almost always get my butt kicked.)

So, yeah, preparing to possibly put it up on ebay.  Dunno if I'll just dump it all in one lot, or MOST of it in one lot and parcel out the rares,  mythic rares, foils, etc as single lots.  Part of me is reluctant to part with them, but on the other hand they have just been sitting around in boxes for years.

Anyway, talking OVER 3,000 cards, all from the tenth edition and earlier sets (Conflux, Shards of Alara, 6th, 7th, 8th, and so on.)  If anyone's interested I'll post send them the link(s) when I get 'em up.  (Or if you want to make me an offer outside eBay, I'm open to that too.)

Did you have any luck selling them?

Still going through them.  Thinking of selling the big lot in one sale and putting up my Mythic rares and more valuable rares in separate lots.  But me, being me, I've been a bit pokey lately.  (Plus I've got some other auctions I'm trying to string together as well.)

I would think about buying them, but the shipping rates to the UK are nasty. I'd suggest selling them off as a single bundle rather than ending up selling off your rare cards and then being left with the common ones?

well, the main one is up!  You can check it out at http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575378759&campid=5338273189&customid=&icep_item=123171200375&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&toolid=11111

Decided to go ahead and throw in MOST of the MR, R, and U cards in the main batch, but I've got three or so batches I'm selling separately.  One I saw going for TWENTY a card (and considering I've got FOUR of them bad boys up in one lot, I'm hoping it'll snag a pretty penny.)

Anyway, just thought I'd let you guys know!

There are a few Buy/Sell/Trade groups on facebook.  From what I've seen, most people have no trouble selling on them.
And yes, I play MTG regularly.  (since 1996)
Online only though.  Paper Magic is just too expensive and as soon as I get a good deck built, it's almost obsolete in tournaments.  That, and I really don't like a lot of the people who play it.  Mega dorks who don't bathe regularly and are obsessed with winning at all costs.  I'm just a casual player.  Playing against people like that sucks all the fun out of it for me.

Mostly I play Forge, which is a MTG simulator that gives you access to EVERY CARD ever printed!
You can only play against the AI.  There is no multiplayer.  Still, having all the cards available is awesome.  You should see some of the nasty decks I've built on it.
