"Warp speed" starring (Holy batman,  batman!) Adam west is a low budget but fairly decent sci-fi movie about a psychic sent to investigate a derelict ship. Her "readings" reveal the fate of he ship and her crew.

This could have been a better movie with a bigger budget and even as is has its moments.

U. F. O target earth was a 1974 cheapass movie that was downright weird from what little I can recall of it.

I saw U.F.O: Target Earth & was dissapointed the UFO was a spiritual/energy UFO; I hoped to see a model. Cool Trippy graphics tho. Of course today RealPlayer can produce similar visuals in real time...

Larry Buccanan was still making movies in the early 80's, but most of his late 70's/early 80's films don't sound like sci-fi. Two which do:

by the term "sci-fi" I generally mean films that either take place in space or another planet. (or if they take place on earth they must involve something that came from space or another planet, to earth). that's just my preferred definition btw

I really wanted to like THE DEADLY SPAWN but sadly I found it tedious.  ALIEN 2 was funny though, I remember a scene at a bowling alley with literally the worst dubbing I've ever seen (probably).

don't think I've seen the other 3. I did re-watch DAY OF THE ANIMALS with Leslie Nielsen the other day, his character in that is genuinely unpleasant. always strange seeing him not play Frank Drebin or at least a comedy role

It is one of my favorite "weather" movies. I love how The Deadly Spawn begins in the early morning, and it is pretty much raining all the time. You don't see that much rain in horror movies.

If IMDb is right, Sandy Frank's Fugitive Alien movies didn't come out till the late 80's.

And there was also Swords of the Space Arc, edited from Message From Space: Galactic Battle, the TV-series which followed Message From Space.

I've seen Fugitive Alien 1, but not 2 or Swords of the Space Arc.
