4. Harold Lockwood- who the f**k knows.
5. William S. Hart- the Eastwood of early film.
6. Wallace Reid- Best known for his boozing and drug problems.
7. Pearl White- the Queen of the Cliffhangers.
8. Anita Stuart- Don't know much about her.
9. Theda Bara- the original Vampire.
10. Francis X. Bushman- Who's first film was in 1911, and last was BIKINI BEACH (1966) which also featured Boris Karloff!

Either he's dead or my watch has stopped!

TCM has had Silent Sunday Night for years, occasionally I watch.  Last night's shorts were from 1915... over 100 years ago.  Silent films don't get "watchable" until the 1920s for me.

Though I have seen and like BROKEN BLOSSOMS (it's wonderful) starring LILLIAN GISH, RICHARD BARTHELMESS, and DONALD CRISP (yes, that Donald Crisp, he's 37) ... released  1919 !!!  100 years ago!

Here 'tis:

I don't have TCM anymore, so If I watch a silent movie, it better be a good one!
I always enjoyed German silents more than American ones, for some reason.
