Ah! When I saw the name "Gabriel Knight" I thought "Wasn't that a Sierra game back in the day? Funny that this person has the same name." And it looks like I was totally right! I never played the Gabriel Knight games, but I want to. My favs were/are the Quest for Glory series, but I also like Kings Quest and Space Quest. I always thought they'd make great movies if the original team would be willing to participate in putting them together. I also actually tried playing King's Quest in German to learn the language better but that didn't work out so well for me.
Welcome! And I agree that your language skills are better than many first language englishers such as myself right here.
Indeed is because of the Sierra game, my first name is Gabriel so I kinda took Gabriel Knight for myself. Such a great game, really hard and it gets quite scary by the end; if you can get your hands on it, get the CD version which has spoken dialogs, it's really immersive and you'll feel like you're solving the case yourself.
I never played the sequels, as far as I know they're in 3D and I had a personal vendetta against that particular form of graphics. I consider it responsible for the destruction of the graphic adventures, a genre I loved with a passion back then. Eventually it got better but those experimental times were dreadful.
King's Quest I only played 6 I believe, very good. And Space Quest, I think 1, 4, and 5, extremely funny and challenging games. I agree with you that they would make for great movies, although nowadays they'll surely f**k it up. Although to be honest Monkey Island came out quite well since is pretty much the same thing as PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN.
Thanks for your kind words!
